January 30, 2025 – CLAAS has been manufacturing combine harvesters at its main plant in Harsewinkel since 1936 – now over 400,000 machines. The plant is one of the most modern production sites for combine harvesters and forage harvesters in the world. Intelligent production processes and optimized logistics ensure efficient machine production.

To ensure the safety of employees and visitors and to protect material assets, CLAAS relies on state-of-the-art security and building technology. Video surveillance, intrusion detection technology and various building automation systems play a key role in preventing operational interruptions or production downtime due to theft or vandalism.

CLAAS has opted for the open integration platform WinGuard from Advancis for central and efficient control of all security-relevant systems. In an interview, Christian Vogt, Vice President Group Security & Group Data Protection Officer at CLAAS, reports on the advantages of the solution and its use in practice.
