Advancis is TOP Innovator 2024
Successful participation in the TOP 100 innovation competition
February 7, 2024 – Advancis Software & Services GmbH has received the TOP 100 award 2024 for its innovative corporate orientation – an award that recognizes particularly forward-looking, medium-sized companies in Germany. The competition is based on an independent selection process in which medium-sized companies are assessed based on over 100 criteria. The award recognizes the overall performance of a company for special innovative strength and above-average innovation success.
A willingness to innovate and openness to new and sometimes unconventional approaches are deeply rooted at Advancis and have long characterized the software manufacturer’s corporate culture. In recent years, numerous creative ideas, and projects, including an own campus project, have been successfully implemented. Formats such as the company’s internal hackathon also serve to develop innovative ideas and solutions free from internal and external “constraints”. They also promote exchange among employees. Andre Meiswinkel, COO of Advancis, emphasizes: “Part of our identity is the continuous willingness to change and improve. If we can’t find suitable framework conditions, we create them ourselves, be it premises, infrastructure, processes, or tools. This culture is an important part of our company’s success. We are delighted to have been awarded the TOP 100 award, as it now also documents the high value placed on innovation in our company to the outside world. In this context, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all my colleagues. Without their identification with the company and their commitment, such awards would not be possible,” adds Andre Meiswinkel.
In addition to these internal initiatives, Advancis is also involved in the SPELL research project. This involvement underlines the company’s progressive orientation and its willingness to incorporate the latest findings and technologies into the development of solutions. The aim of SPELL is to use artificial intelligence to enable emergency response, emergency aid and care measures for the population to be initiated more quickly and in line with the situation in crisis situations (for example, in the event of major incidents, pandemics, natural disasters or widespread power failures). Advancis’ focus here is on the integration, harmonization, and utilization of sensor data for downstream AI-based value-added services as well as the operation of the SPELL platform in industrial and building security operations centers.
In the 31st edition of the TOP 100 innovation competition, Advancis proved its innovative qualities in the areas of innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes/organization, external orientation/open innovation, and innovation success. Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke is the scientific director of the project. Franke is the founder and director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and is one of the leading international innovation researchers. The award ceremony will take place in Weimar on June 28, 2024, as part of the German SME Summit with science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar, who is accompanying the innovation competition as a mentor.
