Review 2021
January 13, 2022 – It is time to look back on the year 2021, in which we further expanded our internationalisation in particular outside the DACH region and strengthened our position as one of the international market leaders in the field of vendor-neutral Physical Security Information Management.
The acquisition of Cruatech based in Dublin/Ireland was completed retroactive to the beginning of the year 2021. Cruatech are a software company that in addition to their own products, offer integration services for leading manufacturers from all over the world. Cruatech will remain as an independent company and will further expand their development department. Thus, they might support Advancis in the future as a “Development Partner” and develop specific adapter modules for WinGuard projects.
For several years now, Advancis has an area representation based in Leeds, around 300 km northwest of London. In the year 2021, Advancis has won a number of new major projects in the UK market and has also further expanded the related service activities there. As a result, Advancis Software & Services Ltd. has now been established in the UK, operating as an independent wholly owned subsidiary of Advancis Software & Services GmbH in Germany.
In springtime, Advancis also opened a representation in Sweden near Stockholm. The new office in Bålsta supports our sales activities throughout the Scandinavian region.
This year, the “SPELL” research project was launched by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The acronym stands for “Semantic platform for intelligent decision-making and deployment support in control and situation centres“. With the help of artificial intelligence and data technologies, a significant gain in information and time is to be achieved in crisis situations. As one of the 12 project partners, Advancis is testing this in concrete applications of networked BOS and industrial control centres with the aim of ensuring resource-efficient incident management.
Despite the pandemic, Advancis participated in four international trade shows, 20 events, and four specialist lectures this year. If you did not have the opportunity to visit us on site, take a look at our virtual showroom. Our 3D showroom demonstrates how event processing with WinGuard works in a control centre environment and is open for an online visit anytime.
