CRITIS Days 2024 – successful kick-off event
April 15, 2024 – On April 10, the kick-off event of this year’s CRITIS Days took place at the Advancis headquarters. The companies Advancis, barox, Commend, Dallmeier and Schneider Intercom, in cooperation with the law firm Noerr PartGmbB, hosted the series of events on the topic of cyber security and compliance for critical infrastructures. A good 50 participants met in Langen to find out about the latest developments in this field. Key topics included the NIS2 Directive, cyber security, risk management and liability risks for managing directors. In addition, the conference offers the opportunity for networking and open exchange as well as practical insights for security managers.
Andreas Daum, lawyer and Senior Associate in Digital Business (IT and data protection law) at Noerr PartGmbB, opened the event with a presentation on the new liability risks for management in the area of cybersecurity and compliance. Kai Eckstein, Head of Sales at Advancis, then presented options for increasing protection, efficiency and compliance for CRITIS (critical infrastructures) through the use of WinGuard. The participants used the coffee break to exchange ideas and network before Fred Hauck, Sales Manager at barox Kommunikation GmbH, spoke about resilient networks for critical infrastructures. Other interesting presentations followed, including from Jürgen Seiler, Head of Business Development for CRITIS at Dallmeier electronic, who spoke about cyber-secure and legally compliant video security technology for CRITIS operators, and from Alexander Gräf, Head of Sales & Marketing at Schneider Intercom GmbH, who presented ways to minimize the risk of cyber attacks in the communications infrastructure. After lunch, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Advancis showroom. The integration of various subsystems with the help of WinGuard was clearly demonstrated here. The event concluded with a lively panel discussion in which the speakers answered questions from the guests.
Overall, the event was a complete success and provided participants with valuable insights and information on a highly relevant topic. The next stop in the series of events is Zurich. All dates and the planned program at https://www.kritis-tage.de/
