Banking and Insurance.

Protecting people, assets, branches, and critical operations with WinGuard, the open integration platform for financial security and building operations.

The Challenge

High-value environments. No room for blind spots.

Banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions must protect employees, customers, sensitive areas, and valuable assets while keeping operations available across branches, offices, and central facilities. Robbery, intrusion, unauthorized access, fire, and failures in building or IT infrastructure can trigger events in several systems at once. Security teams need a reliable overview, rapid cross-system response, and traceable evidence even when the affected site is remote or unstaffed.

  • Protection of people and assets

Employees, customers, cash, confidential information, and high-security areas require coordinated protection against robbery, intrusion, unauthorized access, and other threats.

  • Distributed sites and remote response

Branches and offices may be monitored centrally outside business hours, requiring reliable situational awareness and rapid coordination even when local personnel are not present.

  • Complex security environments

Access control, video, fire and intrusion detection, intercom, personal emergency call, alarm, and building systems must work together instead of creating isolated information.

  • Availability and traceability

Financial operations depend on highly available systems, clear documentation, and accessible video evidence for incident review, reporting, and follow-up.

The Platform

Everything at a glance.

WinGuard brings access control, video surveillance, fire and intrusion detection, intercom, personal emergency call, alarm, and building management systems together in one central operational environment. Security personnel can assess events through a consistent interface, coordinate connected technologies across multiple sites, and follow guided procedures for secure incident processing. Redundancy, centralized documentation, reporting, and integrated video evidence support reliable operations and fast decisions throughout the financial organization.

Scenarios & Solutions

The situations WinGuard handles.

01 / 04

Coordinating simultaneous alarms at a remote branch.

A fire alarm and an intrusion alarm may be triggered at the same time in a branch located far from the central security team. Operators must rapidly determine whether the events are related, verify the situation, and coordinate local response without direct visibility on site.

WinGuard presents the relevant alarms, locations, and live video in one operational view. Guided procedures support the operator through verification and escalation, while connected systems can trigger coordinated actions such as closing fire doors, switching on lighting, and notifying local security personnel or emergency services. Every step is documented centrally for later review.

02 / 04

Preserving video evidence for investigation and reporting.

Financial institutions generate large volumes of video data across entrances, customer areas, vault zones, and other sensitive locations. After a suspicious event, finding the relevant sequence and linking it to the associated alarm or operator notes can otherwise require time-consuming work across separate systems.

WinGuard provides a central video archive workflow that is independent of the video system in use. Operators can create bookmarks, save relevant sequences, connect them with events, and add contextual remarks. This keeps incident information together and supports efficient investigation, documentation, and evidence preservation.

03 / 04

Maintaining secure operations across multiple sites.

Banks and insurance companies often operate networks of branches, offices, and central facilities that depend on continuous monitoring. A failure of the central server, network, or storage environment must not leave individual sites without security oversight or disrupt access to critical event information.

WinGuard supports multiple redundancy levels and distributed site architectures. Standby servers can retain the main system data, while location servers enable sites to continue operating independently during a central server or network failure. Central monitoring and standardized workflows help security teams manage the organization consistently while preserving local resilience.

Companion use case

Keeping access rights consistent across branches.

Financial organizations manage employees, changing roles, contractors, service providers, and visitors across branches, offices, data centers, and restricted areas. When identities and permissions are maintained manually in separate access control systems, onboarding, transfers, and departures can lead to duplicate work, delayed updates, and authorizations that remain active longer than intended.

AIM connects existing identity sources and physical access control systems through one central management layer. Automated joiner, mover, and leaver processes help assign, adjust, and revoke access rights according to role, location, and responsibility. Central visibility across the access environment reduces administrative effort, supports consistent security policies, and enables existing local systems to remain in use.
